How do I get it home?

Pre-delivery

Once you have made your purchase, we will advise our delivery contractor who will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and time-slot. All delivery vehicles have a 2-man crew fully trained in the handling of furnishing items. Your purchase is important to us and we want to ensure that you are at home when it arrives. For this reason, please provide as many alternative telephone numbers as possible, as our delivery contractor will not despatch your item until this telephone conversation has taken place. Deliveries to a number of postcodes are only made on certain days of the week. If the suggested date is inconvenient, you will be given a choice of an alternative delivery day. You will also be asked for details of any special delivery instructions, for example 2nd floor flat, parking restrictions, narrow lane (etc).

Deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays) and we will need a signature when the delivery is made. Please note that delivery is to mainland UK only.

Access

It is always our aim to bring the delivered item to your room of choice. However, in some parts of the country our larger vehicles cannot manoeuvre down small, narrow lanes. If you think we may have difficulty accessing your road, please advise us ahead of time. Perhaps we can plan to deliver to an alternative address or meet you at the end of the road; whatever it takes to deliver it to you and to avoid the disappointment and frustration of a failed delivery on the day. It's also a good idea to be sure we are going to be able to get your order into your room of choice. Large mattresses can prove difficult and we cannot be liable for the goods not getting in, so do please check measurements of doorframes and stair wells prior to the delivery.

Preparing the room for your new furniture

We will deliver your purchase to any room of your choice, provided that the delivery crew do not feel there are any health and safety issues such as a staircase that is too narrow, or there is a danger of damage to your property.

Shortly before the due delivery day, ideally the day before or the morning your order is due, please ensure that any old furniture has been moved to one side or, even better, out of the room of choice altogether. You are strongly advised to ensure that your doors and passageways are large enough to allow access for your purchase. Our delivery crews are strictly prohibited from removing doors/windows or making any other structural modification to your home.

On occasions deliveries may fail at the last minute for unforeseen reasons. For that reason it is critical you do not dispose of your old bed or mattress until your new one has been delivered.

On the day of delivery

To help you plan your day, our delivery crew can call you an hour or so before delivery if you require them to do so. Our delivery service includes unpacking and if requested, assembly and packaging removal.

Before our delivery crew leave, they will ask you to endorse their delivery note in duplicate so do please check you are happy with everything. If there are any issues at all with your order, please make some notes on the paperwork and the crew can feed it back to us straight away. To avoid any disappointments or misunderstandings after the delivery crew have left, please pay particular attention to this document and ensure that it is fully completed and signed. You should retain one copy for your records.
