Palatine Beds raise over £500 for Disability North.

On Sunday 25th March 2012 seven staff from Palatine Beds in Westerhope abseiled 200ft down the Vermont Hotel in Newcastle City Centre and raised £515 for Disability North.

Antonia Dimambro, Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Palatine Beds said: "As 70% of our workforce have a disability, we are always keen to support charities that help disabled people in the North East.

"Well done to everyone who took part in the abseil and helped to raise hundreds of pounds for this very worthy cause.

"The roof of the Vermont Hotel is the highest charity abseil point in Newcastle. I took part, so I can tell you it was a terrifying experience, but the team support and encouragement was fantastic and we all completed it."

The money raised from the Disability North Charity Abseil will pay for vital help, advice and support for disabled people in the North East.

Disability North aims to promote inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people in the North, and provides free and impartial advice, support and information to anyone with an interest in disability.
